State health insurance company, Aasandha has opened opportunity for Maldivians who reside in Sri Lanka, India and Malaysia to registers for health insurance services via its new portal, the Aasandha Abroad Portal.
Aasandha, in a statement this Thursday morning, announced it will be holding an Aasandha Abroad Registration Camp outside its office in Sri Lanka at 4 pm, next Friday.
Expanding Aasandha coverage for access of Maldivians who reside abroad was one of the current administration’s first 100-day pledges.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, during a visit to Sri Lanka on February 3, announced that Maldivians who reside in Sri Lanka will receive Aasandha insurance starting from this coming April.
Sri Lanka, India and Malaysia hosts the largest populations of Maldivians who reside abroad – many of them students.
