Yellow Alert issued from M. Atoll to L. Atoll

Maldives Meteorological Service has issued Yellow Alert to islands from M. Atoll to L. Atoll.

The service reports it forecasts heavy rain and thunderstorms to the region. The Yellow Alert will be in place from 1:10 pm to 5 pm pm this Tuesday.

Authorities instruct residents of the islands to take precautionary measures against possible flooding from rainwater.

Meanwhile, the service has also issued White Alert to island from V. Atoll to G. A. Atoll, which will be in place from 11:30 am to 6 pm this Tuesday.

Maldives Meteorological Service forecasts scattered rain with isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms throughout central and southern atolls, but mainly fine weather in northern atolls.
