Hulhule' ferry port being changed for development project

A decision has been made to change the Hulhule' lagoon entrance to facilitate the ongoing Hulhule' development project. 

Transport Authority issued a statement today saying that the south entrance of the Hulhule' lagoon will be closed starting from Sunday. And so starting from 6 a.m. this Sunday, vessels coming in to Hulhule' are to use the new lagoon entrance. 

Under the development of Velana International Airport, the first of the four-layer of tarmac for the southern part of the new runway was completed last April. 

Aside from the development of a new runway, a taxi way to connect the two runways along with a shoulder area are being developed at the airport.
