Speedboat collision near Thulusdhoo leaves two injured, one with broken leg

Two people were injured on Wednesday evening when two speedboats collided near the K. Thulusdhoo channel, according to police. The incident was reported at 7:55 pm, with officers confirming that both vessels were travelling through the channel at the time of the collision.

Police said two individuals are currently receiving treatment for their injuries. One of the injured suffered a broken leg, police spokesperson Ahmed Shiyam said. No further details have been released regarding the condition of the second victim or the extent of damage to the vessels involved.

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the collision, and the case remains under investigation.
