Two individuals injured in a dangerous motorcycle accident in Hulhumale' early Wednesday morning are currently being treated on ventilator support at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The accident occurred at 02:55 am when a motorcycle carrying three people, and being driven against the flow of traffic on a one-way road, collided with another motorcycle carrying two individuals on Nirolhu Magu in Hulhumale' Phase II.
Police previously stated that four of the five injured were in critical condition and were transferred from Hulhumale' Hospital to IGMH for further treatment.
IGMH confirmed to Sun that two of the injured individuals are on ventilators, but Police have not disclosed which of the two motorcycles the critically injured individuals had been travelling on, so their identities remain unconfirmed.
Police said the driver of the three-person motorcycle did not hold a valid licence for the relevant vehicle category. The case remains under investigation.
