Trio arrested in drug raid on Kudahuvadhoo hotel

Three men were arrested by the police on Saturday, in a drug raid on a hotel in Dh. Kudahuvadhoo.

The police issued a statement on Monday, identifying the suspects arrested in the case as:

• Abdul Gayyoom Abdul Sattar, 44, Maaveyo, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo
• Nihal Naseem, 30, Friendly, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo
• Zulkifli Rashad Adam, 20, Dhafthar no. 1384, K. Male’

All three are accused of possession and use of narcotics.

According to the police, the three were arrested from a hotel in Kudahuvadhoo on Saturday. A subsequent search led to the seizure of a film cannister believed to contain drugs and two bottles believed to contain alcohol.

All three were remanded in custody of the police for five days on Sunday.

The case is under further investigation by the police.
