Maldivian is launching a promotional one‑way fare of MVR 1,111 for flights to Kudahuvadhoo.

The national airline will begin daily scheduled flights between Male' and Dh. Kudahuvadhoo from Thursday, with tickets available from today through Maldivian’s website, mobile application, ticketing offices and authorised sales channels.

Maldivian said the new service supports government efforts to expand transportation between the atolls, and will improve access for travel related to education, healthcare and employment.

The airline added that businesses and the tourism sector in Dhaalu Atoll will also benefit from the launch of flights from Male'.

With the introduction of flights to Kudahuvadhoo, Maldivian’s domestic network will expand to 18 airports.

Kudahuvadhoo Airport is operated by Manta Air, which uses the airport as its hub. Manta has not yet commented on any operational changes following Maldivian’s entry into the route.

Manta Air recently reduced its domestic flights, and Maldivian has been operating charter flights to Kudahuvadhoo at Manta’s request. The airport is a key gateway for tourist transfers to major resorts in Dhaalu Atoll, as well as for travel between the atoll and Male'.
