Hawks to sell diesel to fishing vessels for MVR 17 per litre

The Hawks Private Limited, a major fuel distributor operating across the Maldives, has commenced the sale of diesel to fishing vessels at MVR 17 per litre, effective from Thursday.

The company stated that the lowered rate is available exclusively to vessels registered for fisheries activities.

The Hawks operates 21 fuel stations across the Maldives, all of which will provide diesel to fishing vessels at the uniform rate. The stations are located on the following islands:

• Haa Alif: Hoarafushi, Dhidhdhoo, Ihavandhoo
• Shaviyani: Feydhoo
• Noonu: Velidhoo, Kendhikulhudhoo
• Raa: Hulhudhuffaaru
• Baa: Kamadhoo, Dharavandhoo, Thulhaadhoo
• Hulhumalé
• Thilafushi
• Alifu Alifu: Thoddoo
• Meemu: Muli
• Thaa: Vilufushi
• Laamu: Isdhoo, Hithadhoo, Fonadhoo
• Fuvahmulah City: Dhoodigan and Funaad
• Gaafu Dhaalu: Madaveli

The Hawks stated that fishermen must present valid vessel registration documents when purchasing diesel from any of the designated stations.
