After completing specialist training, 16 doctors have joined Dharumavantha Hospital and IGMH so far this year.
Male’ City Group of Hospitals (MCGH) CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem said in a post on X that the doctors who joined include specialists and sub-specialists trained in several new fields. These include neurointerventional radiology, paediatric dentistry, neonatology and clinical haematology.
In addition, Haleem noted that more doctors from key fields such as orthopaedics, internal medicine, radiology and ENT have joined the hospitals.
He wrote that the introduction of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, interventional radiology and modern services to further expand cardiac and neurological care will begin this year.
Haleem described this as an important step towards reducing the public’s dependence on seeking healthcare abroad.
He commended the work of all doctors, nurses, health workers, support staff and administrative staff working in the hospitals, urging them to provide quality services with more care, kindness and compassion to the public.
