BML expands network with seven new branches

Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded its nationwide banking network with the opening of seven new branches, further strengthening access to financial services across the country.

The branches were officially inaugurated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during a ceremony held on Wednesday morning. 

The newly inaugurated branches are located in:
• HA. Hoarafushi
• Sh. Kanditheemu
• R. Alifushi
• Lh. Hinnavaru
• ADh. Maamigili
• L. Maavah
• GA. Gemanafushi

With the latest expansion, BML now operates 55 branches across all 20 atolls, including 17 branches established over the past two years, underscoring the bank's continued investment in improving nationwide access to banking services.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, BML’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the bank reinvests its growth to expand its reach and deepen its presence in the communities it serves.

"Our strong financial performance allows us to continue investing in our nationwide network, bringing banking services closer to every Maldivian and ensuring that individuals and businesses across the country have convenient access to the financial services they need to grow and thrive," he said. 

As the country's leading financial institution, Bank of Maldives operates the nation's largest banking network, comprising 55 branches across all 20 atolls and 340 self-service banking ATMs serving every inhabited island, in addition to its advanced digital banking platforms. The bank said it remains committed to supporting communities through innovative financial solutions and expanding access to banking services nationwide.
