IASL signs agreement with HDC to develop dedicated housing units for employees

The national airline, Maldivian, has officially handed over land to Island Aviation Services Ltd (IASL) for a dedicated housing project for its employees.

The project involves the construction of flats to address the housing needs of IASL staff.

The agreement for the project was signed on Tuesday with the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), the parent company overseeing Hulhumale's development.

HDC Managing Director Ali Zuhair signed the agreement on behalf of the corporation at a ceremony held at its head office. Island Aviation Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas signed on behalf of IASL.

It is understood that HDC has already allocated land for the project

Several state-owned enterprises have previously undertaken staff housing projects in Hulhumale'. Among them, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has built two towers comprising 384 apartments in Hulhumale' Phase II. Companies such as MPL and STELCO have also constructed flats for their employees.
