Fire erupts on fifth floor of G. Funnfalhu; MNDF says blaze now contained

A fire broke out on the fifth floor of a house on Lonuziyaarai Magu in Galolhu on Sunday night.

The MNDF Fire and Rescue Service said it is responding to the incident at G. Funnfalhu, and confirmed that the fire has now been brought under control.

MNDF said the incident was reported at 10:49 p.m.

A video circulating on social media shows the fifth floor of the house engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke rising from the building.

How the fire started remains unclear.
