Five, including two children, taken to hospital after fire at Hulhumale’ flat

Five people, including two children, were taken to the hospital on early Thursday, after a fire broke out at a government-issued flat in Hulhumale’ Phase I.

According to the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), the fire at a ground floor apartment at Flat 110 was reported to the Hulhumale’ Fire Station at around 01:10 am.

The MNDF said that firefighters from the Hulhumale’ Fire Station managed to put out the fire at around 01:23 am.

Five people, including two children, sustained injuries in the fire and were taken to the hospital.
