Shakeel, who also served as State Minister for Economic Affairs during the final days of former President Abdulla Yameen’s administration, is a prominent member of the PNC’s senate and plays an active role in the party’s political activities.
He was interviewed by the Parliament’s Independent Institutions Committee on Monday.
