Power outage hits parts of Henveiru

A technical problem caused a power outage in some areas of Male' City’s Henveiru ward on Tuesday evening, according to STELCO.

The company said in a message on social media that a technical issue had disrupted electricity supply to several streets in the ward, and that teams were working to identify the fault and restore power.

Last Saturday, houses in Koarikendi Magu, Binhima Goalhi and Badifasgandu Magu also experienced outages.

Male' and Hulhumale' have seen intermittent power cuts in recent weeks. On the 12th of last month, some Hiyaa towers and Vinares apartments were without electricity for around eight hours after a cable was damaged during excavation work, STELCO said.
