To mark World Vaccine Week or Immunization Week, Tree Top Hospital held a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session this week to raise awareness about the importance of vaccines.

The main objective of the session was to highlight the essential role vaccines play in individual and community health. Senior Consultant Pediatrician Dr. Ahmed Faisal from the Health Protection Agency (HPA) delivered the presentation.

In his presentation, Dr. Faisal stressed the importance of immunization in protecting people of all ages from life‑threatening diseases. He also emphasized the need to maintain high vaccination coverage to support herd immunity.

Dr. Faisal further addressed key public health priorities, including vaccine hesitancy, the importance of building trust and awareness, and the need for continued collaboration between healthcare providers and public health authorities to improve outreach and compliance.

Dr. Alessandra Martino, Consultant Pediatrician at Tree Top Hospital, also spoke during the session. She highlighted the importance of timely childhood vaccinations, parental awareness, and the responsibility of healthcare professionals in guiding families through safe and effective immunization practices.

Tree Top Hospital said it remains committed to supporting national vaccination programs by promoting awareness, improving accessibility, and upholding high standards of patient‑centered care. The hospital noted that such educational sessions help strengthen efforts to build a healthier and safer community for future generations.
