Student assaults female teacher in Gadhdhoo; victim transferred to Thinadhoo for treatment

Police have launched an investigation after a student assaulted a female teacher at GDh. Atoll Education Centre on Sunday.

According to police, the incident, involving an Indian female teacher, was reported at 11:46am. The teacher first received treatment at the island’s health centre before being transferred to Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in Thinadhoo for further care.

Authorities have not disclosed details of the injuries.

Police said the case is being investigated in coordination with relevant agencies.
