President Muizzu and First Lady return to Maldives after completing Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed returned to the Maldives on Saturday after completing their Umrah pilgrimage.

The President and First Lady departed for Saudi Arabia on Monday. According to the President’s Office, all hospitality and expenses for the visit were covered by the Saudi government, and the arrangements for the trip were finalised in early February.

President Muizzu and Sajidha had also traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform umrah at invitation from the Saudi government back in May 2024. They also performed hajj last year at the invitation of the Saudi Royal Court.
