Dhiraagu has been awarded the Maldives' Broadband Telecom Company of the Year at Asian Telecom Awards 2026.
The Asian Telecom Awards is a recognition given to exceptional accomplishments within the telecom industry in the region, highlighting significant advancements made by companies to reshape the digital landscape.
The Broadband Telecom Company of the Year awarded to Dhiraagu recognizes the company’s achievement of delivering 100 percent high-speed fiber broadband access to every household on every in inhabited island in the Maldives.
Ismail Rasheed, CEO and Managing Director of Dhiraagu, said the company is honored to receive the award.
“This recognition underscores our commitment to delivering an exceptional broadband experience and driving digital inclusion nationwide, with mobile broadband covering 100 percent of the population and high-speed fiber broadband (FTTH) accessible to every home across all inhabited islands,” he said.

Dhiraagu provides 100 percent 4G broadband coverage across all inhabited islands, resort islands, and major industrial islands in the Maldives.The company has also achieved 100 percent Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) coverage to households across the Maldives, with 5G services now reaching 73 percent of the population.
Dhiraagu has also recently been recognized as the ‘Fastest 5G Network’ ‘Best 5G Network’ and ‘Best 5G Gaming Experience’ by Ookla® Speedtest Awards based on Ookla® Speedtest Intelligence® data, 1H 2025.
