Dhiraagu has launched two Ramadan-themed donation campaigns via its DhiraaguPay platform, enabling customers to directly support meal distribution drives and family assistance programmes across the Maldives.

Named Donate a Meal and Donate to a Family, the initiatives are intended to encourage community giving through digital payments during the holy month.

Through the Donate a Meal campaign, Dhiraagu has teamed up with Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives to help distribute meal packs to migrant workers near mosques in the Greater Malé Region. Dhiraagu has pledged 1,000 meal packs to establish the initiative, while customers can sponsor extra meals at MVR 60 each using DhiraaguPay.

The second campaign, Donate to a Family, is conducted in partnership with Mom’s Aid. Under this effort, customers can contribute to the NGO’s Ramadan Aid programme, which delivers care baskets and iftar packages to vulnerable families nationwide. Dhiraagu is funding 100 families with care baskets worth MVR 1,200 each. These baskets include essential food supplies and are aimed at supporting single mothers and households caring for children with disabilities. Customers are free to donate any amount through the platform.

Users can make contributions by choosing the appropriate cause from the featured service tabs within the DhiraaguPay app, with funds sent directly to the respective NGOs.

According to the company, the goal of these initiatives is to simplify charitable giving during Ramadan by embedding donation features into its digital payment system.
