BML introduces a simpler process to book medical dollars

Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced a simpler process for Maldivians travelling abroad for medical purposes to book medical dollars through its Mobile Banking App.

According to BML, customers can now apply for medical dollars directly via the Mobile Banking App, submit the required documents, and track the status of their applications seamlessly.

Patients receiving medical treatment abroad through Aasandha and National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) will be eligible to obtain up to USD 2,000, while travelers self-financing for medical treatments are eligible up to USD1,000.

Medical dollars will now only be credited to USD accounts – which customers can easily open through the BML Mobile Banking App.
