BML extends ATM services to Thilafushi

In a move to further strengthen its nationwide ATM network, Bank of Maldives (BML) has established a new self-service banking ATM in K. Thilafushi.

The inauguration ceremony of the new ATM was attended by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed and BML’s CEO, Managing Director Mohamed Shareef alongside other senior officials of the bank.

BML states it will continue to expand its network throughout the year by opening new self-service banking centres, branches, and ATMs. More than 70 USD ATMs will be installed across the country to improve access to foreign currency and provide greater convenience for both individuals and businesses, particularly in major economic hubs.

BML’s CEO, Managing Director Shareef said the expansion of the bank’s ATM network remains a key priority as the Bank continue to enhance banking accessibility across the Maldives.

“The new self-service ATM in Thilafushi reflects our commitment to supporting communities and businesses with reliable, convenient banking solutions,” he added.

Shareef further said the bank remains focused on delivering innovative services that bring greater ease and value to customers nationwide as the bank progresses with its 2026 expansion plans.
