Warning issued over cargo boat adrift east of Gan

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has warned to exercise caution over cargo boat that is adrift southeast of L. Gan.

The cargo boat has been identified as ‘Integrity Star’.

According to MNDF, the boat is adrift approximately 48 miles southeast of Gan. As such, the authority has urged boats travelling in the area to exercise caution, especially during night time.

Notably, Maldives is currently experiencing bad weather conditions with Met Office warning rough seas and thunderstorms across the country tonight.
