BML launches Visa Platinum Debit card

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has launched its new Visa Platinum Debit card, exclusively linked to USD accounts.

The new card was launched by Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed on Wednesday during an event held by the national bank to celebrate its nationwide expansion initiative.

According to BML, its Visa Platinum Debit card offers customers global acceptance through the Visa network and a range of exclusive benefits.

Key features of the card include:

  • A doubled daily cash withdrawal limit of USD 3,200 via BML’s ATMs.
  • A higher daily foreign spending limit of USD 5,000.
  • Access to Visa’s international offers and the 24/7 Visa Platinum Concierge service.

BML’s CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef says the new card provides customers with a convenient and secure way to access their USD accounts, while enjoying the platinum tier experience.

“With this new card, we aim to provide enhanced international banking experience and reflecting our continued commitment to improve the banking experience for our customers,” he added.

Customers can now apply for the card on Internet and Mobile Banking.
