Catch and payouts fall in September

The state-owned fish company MIFCO has recorded a decline in purchased fish and payments to fishermen in September compared to August.  According to statistics released by MIFCO, 451 fishing vessels landed 1,288.42 tonnes of fish in September last year. This includes 1,284.1 tonnes of skipjack tuna, 0.5 tonnes of yellowfin tuna above 10 kg, and 3.8 tonnes of yellowfin tuna above
