Police close Thoriq’s fraud complaint citing no proof

A case filed by former Manadhoo MP and former State Minister for Heritage, Mohamed Thoriq, alleging that he was fraudulently registered as a member of the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC), has been closed due to lack of evidence. Thoriq lodged the complaint with police on 26 December 2024, claiming he had been signed up to the PNC without his knowledge.
