VIA launches Calm Room for assisted passengers

A “Calm Room” has been opened at Velana International Airport (VIA) to support passengers with non‑visible disabilities, physical conditions, and others who require special assistance. The facility was inaugurated at VIA’s first terminal by Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef. MACL said the Calm Room is designed to provide a sensory‑friendly environment for passengers with special needs
