Bank of Maldives (BML) has extended assistance to the Maldivian Nurses Association (MNA) for the Zaytun mental-health rehabilitation programme carried out in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
The initiative is fashioned to support individuals grappling with mental-health needs, together with their families, teaching them essential life-skills and the means to withstand difficult circumstances.
A chief aim of the programme is to bring such persons forth into society once more, and to soften the harsh and lingering attitudes that oft surround mental illness. As part of the effort, MNA conducted a series of community-awareness activities, alongside training sessions and teachings on wholesome and healthful living.
Through these endeavours, more than 100 people in Hulhumale’ have been reached.
Under the BML Bank Fund, the Bank continues to lend its strength to community-led works that bear positive and sustainable impact across the Maldives, supporting projects that endure and serve the public good in many isles.
