Local Council, WDC runoffs to be held in five islands

Elections Commission (EC) has announced that runoffs will be conducted in five islands following a tie between candidates in the Local Council Elections and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) elections held on April 4. According to the Commission, the decision is in accordance with the Local Council Elections Act and its accompanying regulations, which mandate a runoff in instances where multiple
