MDP suspends Villingili constituency VP amid complaint

The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has decided to temporarily suspend its Villingili constituency vice president, Ameez Hassan, from all party activities. The decision was made at a party meeting held Thursday, following a complaint alleging that Ameez had worked against the MDP’s official candidates in the Villingili constituency. According to the party, an internal investigation is now underway. Until the inquiry is
