President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Monday morning departed on a two-day tour of ADh. Atoll.
According to the President’s Office, he will travel to ten inhabited islands of the ADh. Atoll; Dhangethi, Dhidhdhoo, Omadhoo, Dhigurah, Maamigili, Mandhoo, Fenfushi, Hangnaameedhoo, Mahibadhoo, and Kunburudhoo.
His first stop was in Dhangethi.
During the tour, President Muizzu will meet with members of the local council and women’s development committees as well as heads of institutions to consult on key development priorities. He will also engage directly with residents to listen to their concerns and gain insight into their well-being.
According to the President’s Office, the tour is part of his initiative to tour all Maldivian atolls and engage directly with councils at the island, atoll, and city levels.
He is accompanied on the trip by several cabinet ministers and senior officials from key government institutions.
He will conclude the visit and return to Male’ on Wednesday.
