Nasreena discharged from hospital after treatment

Former president Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom’s wife, Nasreena Ibrahim, has been discharged home following treatment at Dharumavantha Hospital.

In a statement last Thursday, Maumoon’s Office said Naseena, 74, has been admitted and is receiving medical care at Dharumavantha Hospital since last week.

Maumoon, via a post on X on Saturday, said Nasreena has been discharged home after fully recovering from her illness.

Prior to this, Maumoon, on behalf of his family, extended gratitude to all doctors, nurses and other staff who have been involved in her care for their kindness and attentiveness.

He also extended gratitude to well-wishers and members of the public who had messages praying for Nasreena’s recovery.
