President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu states Maldives looks forward to marking 60 years of diplomatic relations with the United States of America, a reflection of the strength and longevity of the partnership.
He made the remark in a message to US President Donald Trump, the government and people of US on the occasion of the country’s 249th Independence Day.
In his message, the President conveyed heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the government and people of the Maldives.

He added that as US celebrates this milestone, the Maldives also looks forward to marking 60 years of diplomatic relations, a reflection of the strength and longevity of their partnership.
The President reaffirmed Maldives’ commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that ties between the two countries will continue to grow in the years ahead.
In a post shared on X, President Muizzu wished the American people continued freedom and progress.
