Ooredoo hosts Community Clash MLBB tournament for Philippines Independence Day

Ooredoo Maldives has successfully concluded the Ooredoo Nation MLBB Community Clash, a thrilling Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament.

Held in partnership with Filipino’s in Maldives Basketball Association (FIMBA), the event was a part of Philippines’ Independence Day celebrations in the Maldives.

According to Ooredoo, the event, which had a vibrant mix of cultural activities, exciting giveaways, and high-energy gaming action, brought together over 150 members of the Filipino community in the Maldives.

A total of 12 teams—comprising over 70 players—competed fiercely for the top spot in this community-driven esports tournament

Following a series of electrifying matches, Thursday Club emerged as the Champions, taking home MVR 7,500 in prize money, alongside a free 5G AirFibre connection for each player on the team. The Warriors PH secured second, winning MVR 4,500, while Maligno took third, with prize money of MVR 3,000.

Ooredoo states the special edition of Ooredoo Nation was more than just a tournament, adding it was a celebration of unity, talent, and cultural pride within the Filipino community in the Maldives.

The telecom company states it is honored to support and connect diverse communities through the power of technology and esports.
