New Pakistan envoy presents credentials to President

The newly appointed High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives Vice Admiral (R) Faisal Rasul Lodhi has presented his Letter of Credence to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

Lodhi presented his credentials during a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Monday morning after he was escorted to the office from the Republic Square in a cultural procession called “Haiykolhu” with the MNDF Drum and Trumpet Band.

The President accepted his credentials and welcomed him as the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives.

Following the presentation, the President and the High Commissioner discussed enhancing bilateral relations and collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including climate change, health, tourism and trade.

Lodhi also commended President Muizzu and the Maldives for their strong support for the people of Palestine.
