Pilgrim who went missing while on Umrah pilgrimage located

Hussain Mohamed Didi, the Maldivian pilgrim that went missing while on Umrah pilgrimage, has been located. 

Hussain was a pilgrim escorted by Yalamlam Hajj & Umar Group. The Group had earlier appealed for public assistance to locate him after he went missing.

On Saturday night, the Group announced that Hussain had been found in good health. As such, the Group extended gratitude to everyone who assisted in searching for Hussain and well-wishers who prayed for his safe return.

Hussain had traveled to Saudi Arabia on Saudi Arabian airline flight SV839 via Yalamlam Group on Friday. Prior to this, the Group had said Hussain went missing after he was separated from his family while performing Sa’i.

According to the group, he had been in Ihram clothing when he went missing and was wearing the group’s identification pass.

Cases of local pilgrims going missing while on Umrah pilgrimage have been recorded previously as well.
