Man arrested from IGMH for obstructing, disobeying police

A Maldivian man was arrested on Saturday evening for disobeying the instructions of police officers on duty at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and obstructing them from discharging their duties.

The man has been identified as Mohamed Razeen, 48, M. Star, Male’.

Police, in a message to the media on Monday, said the incident occurred at approximately 16:00pm on Saturday evening.

As per the authority, Razeen is being investigated for disobeying the instructions of police officers on duty at IGMH, and obstructing them from discharging their duties.

Police said Razeen was remanded in custody for five days upon presentation before the court.

Individuals have previously been arrested and penalized for obstruction of the justices.
