Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), also known as Visit Maldives, is showcasing the Maldives’ luxury offerings at the ILTM Cannes 2024 - the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM)’s flagship travel trade show.
The ILTM Cannes is taking place at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès from December 2-5.
The Maldives is also being represented at the ILTM Cannes by a dozen representatives from seven tourism companies; Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, Amilla Fushi, Bliss Maldives, Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives, JA Manafaru, The Nautilus Maldives, and Villa Resorts.
ILTM Cannes is a premier luxury travel trade show, attracting key players from the luxury travel sector, including travel advisors and luxury travel brands across the globe.
The event provides a significant platform to conduct in-person business meetings, educational sessions, and networking events with the French travel trade and beyond.
The Maldives is renowned worldwide as one of the most desirable luxury destinations, providing an array of unforgettable experiences to travelers.
According to MMPRC, its participation at the ILTM Cannes 2024 aims to target affluent travelers, reinforce the Maldives' luxury positioning and showcase the exceptional experiences available in the Sunny Side of Life.
The Maldives' stand at ILTM Cannes 2024 highlights the pinnacle of luxury tourism through visually stunning displays of opulent resorts, exclusive liveaboard experiences, and the destination's breathtaking natural beauty.
During the event, luxury travel buyers have the opportunity to connect directly with industry partners through personalized meetings, where they gain insights into the Maldives' premium offerings.
France is a key source market for the Maldives, with a strong demand for luxury travel experiences. The Maldives, which was recently crowned the World Travel Awards (WTA) World’s Leading Destination for the fifth consecutive year, has recorded over 1.8 million arrivals so far this year. France is currently the 8th top source market for the Maldives, with over 48,520 visitors.
The MMPRC said it aims to further strengthen its presence in the French market and attract more French travelers to the Maldives.
