Dhivehi Bahuge Academy (DBA) has announced its decision to conduct a short-term course on Dhivehi language and history for civil servants employed at government offices and companies.
The purpose of conducting the course, as per DBA, is to ensure written documents in Dhivehi conform to the rules of the language. It is also aimed at teaching staff how to communicate respectfully in the language and educating them on important events from Maldivian history.
The course which will be held online is open for participation nationwide.
DBA said they will be selecting participants for the course on a first-come first-serve basis and in this trajectory, the first 100 applicants.
However, participation from each government organization has been capped at a maximum of three staff. The five-day course spanning 10 hours will be held from Sunday, November 17th to Thursday, November 21st.
DBA has instructed interested civil servants to apply for the course via a google form before 14:00pm on Tuesday, November 12th.
The google form and further information regarding the course will be available on the government gazette and DBA’s social media platforms.
