Speeding motorcycle crashes into man in Nadella; three injured

A teenager on a motorcycle who was speeding along the road that leads up to the jetty in GDh. Nadella lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a man who was standing beside a three-wheel truck on early Sunday, leaving three people injured.

The accident was reported to the police at around 12:05 am Sunday.

According to the police, the accident injured the two people on the motorcycle – both of them 18 years of age – and the 47-year-old man they ran over.

All three were taken to GDh. Thinadhoo, where they were treated at the Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the motorcycle and the man who was standing beside the truck were transferred to Male’ City on Sunday morning, and are being treated at the ADK Hospital.

The police did not disclose any details regarding the extent of their injuries.

The police said that the teenager who was driving the motorcycle did not have a license.

The accident is under investigation by the police.
