Maxcom has hosted a series of Artificial Intelligence (AI) familiarization in collaboration with Dell Technology.

The familiarization sessions are part of Maxcom's "Series of Events" targeting its clientele to provide information on the latest technological advancements in the field of IT each year.

This year's familiarization sessions focused primarily on utilizing Dell's hardware for AI-based or driven technologies in the Maldives. The sessions also served as 'mythbusters' related to Artificial Intelligence, aimed at alleviating common misconceptions tied to the relatively new technological innovation realm.

Dell's speakers provided their insight and information during these sessions, while the participants were extended the opportunity to raise queries during Q&A segments post the sessions.

Information was also provided on establishing new AI-based digital infrastructure in government offices and state-owned enterprises (SOEs).

The Chief Technical Officer of Maxcom, Ahmed Shibah said the sessions focus on introducing and providing information on the applications of AI. He added the primary objective of these sessions is to provide information on the latest advancements in technology to Maxcom's clients, explore the possibilities of utilizing these new advancements, and address the challenges.

"Our partnership with Dell exceeds over 14 years, and we try to give exposure to any new piece of technology Dell rolls out, and some of their latest advancements include storage, various end-user laptops, and computers, all of which are available in the Maldives," Shibah added.

"This event aims at giving exposure to AI technology, and we believe this would benefit the community as well."

He further said that the entities that have not adopted AI technology may face threat of becoming obsolete.

While emphasizing on the wide array of usage from AI-based technology, Shibah said and added that Maxcom aims on integrating these innovative solutions in the Maldives.

Maxcom also hosted a raffle among the participants.
