MMPRC opens RFP window seeking agency to represent Maldives in Germany

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has opened request for proposal (RFP) window seeking an agency to represent the Maldives in Germany for a one-year period.

MMPRC in its invitation said the budget allocated for the project is USD 3,600, with only subjected to a 10% withholding tax, as a monthly retainer. MMPRC also said that it will not be liable to make any additional payments “relating to any of the services mentioned in the scope of work other than the quoted monthly retainer fee.”

The work scope includes collaboration with MMPRC to achieve strategic marketing objectives such as increasing the tourist arrival from the selected market, re-orienting the perception of Maldives tourism industry, making greater emphasis on experimental tourism, and maintaining tourism sustainability.

In case if MMPRC renews the contract, the monthly retainer fee can be increased by a maximum of 20% on the existing contract price.

MMPRC added that eligible proponents must have past experience in a similar work in the past five years, and must provide proof of extensive knowledge of the Germany market including outbound travel.

The RFP deadline for interested proponents is before 12:00hrs on September 19, 2024.

Germany is among the top 10 source markets to the Maldives, with a total of 95,217 annual arrivals from the market reported in the most recent statistics from the Ministry of Tourism.
