Tax Appeal Tribunal has announced seeking interested candidates for the four vacant posts.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu last Monday, removed four of its members and decided to keep only one member.

The four were dismissed with allegations of severe misconduct, abuse of power, and illicit enrichment. Their alleged misconduct was brought to the parliament's attention, after subsequently conducted a review on the issue, and made the decision to remove them.

The President's Office on Thursday announced seeking member candidates for the four vacant spots. Interested applicants must apply between 09:00hrs and 12:00hrs on September 17th.

The application form is available from the President's Office reception, and downloadable from its website.

While the four members, including the tribunal's president and vice president, were dismissed, Ismail Sajid is the only member who retained his position.

Sajid had brought the potential corruption at the tribunal to the parliament's attention, which it said the member had done so with good intention.
