Minister Shaheem appointed member of OIC’s Fiqh Academy

Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has been appointed a member of Organization of Islamic Corporation (OIC)’s International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA).

Islamic Ministry via a post on X said Minister Shaheem was appointed a member of IIFA during an administrative meeting of the Academy held on August 8th.

Minister Shaheem has previously served as the Advisor to OIC’s Secretary General and headed the organization’s ‘Voice of Wisdom Centre’.

The Minister, who is named in the list of 500 most influential Muslim leaders across the world, received his education from Maldives, Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.

He has served as the head of Maldives’ National Centre for Holy Quran and the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of the Islamic University of Maldives (IUM). He is also the founding dean of Villa College’s Faculty of Shariah.
