Maldivian, the flagship carrier of the country, signed an agreement with the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Sunday.
The parties entered into an agreement towards the implementation of Noonu atoll Maafaru Airport's apron expansion project.
MTCC CEO Abdulla Ziyad and Maldivian's Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas signed the agreement.
The project's work scope includes demolition of 453 square meters of existing fire road, removal of 18,660 square meters of topsoil, sub-base preparation, wearing course laying along with cut, fill, grade and compaction of 4,047 square meters of shoulder, and the supply and installation of airefield installation system.
The project value is reported at a total of MVR 29.85 million.
