Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has joined Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) and the National Hotel and Guesthouse Association of Maldives (NHGAM) in the Asian Tourism Fair (ATF-Dhaka) 2024.

MATATO has joined in driving the team for ATF 2024 to "strengthen tourism development and boost arrivals" from emerging Bangladeshi outbound market, MMPRC added in its statement.

The trio will jointly curate a Maldives stand at ATF-Dhaka, featuring a diverse range of products and services from the Maldives' world-class resorts, hotels, guesthouses, and tour operators.

The stand will highlight the island nation's pristine natural beauty, rich marine life, and exceptional hospitality.

"One of the key objectives for MMPRC this year is to explore new markets and segments," said Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of MMPRC.

"We believe that MATATO joining MMPRC and NHGAM will enable us to more effectively showcase the Maldives as a preferred hoslitay destination in the promising Bangladeshi market."

ATF-Dhaka is scheduled from September 19 to 21, 2024 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

This event promises to be a premier platform for tourism and hospitality industry stakeholders to network, collaborate, and explore new business opportunities.

The Maldives tourism board's participation in the event is also aligned with its strategic objectives of promoting the Maldives as the "most preferred tourist destination worldwide," increasing destination awareness, and building strong relationships with the international travel trade.
