Towed vehicle sustains damages, police help with repairs

Following reports of a vehicle being towed sustained damages, police said it would help with the repairs.

A local had shared on social media that a taxi had been significantly damaged when police attempted to tow it. Photos shared in the post showed damage to the car's windows, with dents to its hood and chasis.

The individual who shared the social media post complained, inquiring if any authority would claim liability for the damage.

Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Ahmed Shifan said the authority will help with the repairs.

"Police is also investigating the reason behind this as well," he added.
