Maldives Pres departs for Indian PM's swearing-in

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, accompanied by a high-level Maldivian delegation, has departed to India on Saturday evening, at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President's visit is to attend the swearing-in ceremony f the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers of the Indian government.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, June 09th in the attendance of leaders from neighboring and other countries.

This visit also marks Dr. Muizzu's first official visit to India since he assumed office on November 17, 2023.
