President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Ahmed have returned to Maldives following a trip to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
The first couple traveled to Saudi to perform Umrah on the gracious hospitality of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
They were accompanied by several senior government officials on trip; Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Chief Imaam of Islamic Centre Sheikh Mohamed Latheef, The President’s Office’s Chief of Staff Abdulla Fayaz Minister at the President’s Office for Presidential Affairs Ali Arif and Minister at the President’s Office; Abdulla Nasir.
They traveled on an aircraft arranged by the Saudi government.
During the visit, the President met with 24 Maldivian students studying in Medinah, during which he inquired about the difficulties they face and their needs.
