Maldives discuss exporting 214 items to Turkey

During the second discussion meeting on the free trade agreement between the Maldives and Turkey--

Maldives government has discussed on exporting a total of 214 commodities to Turkey at zero percent rate under the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries.

The countries discussed it at the second Free Trade Agreement meeting. The Maldives goverment has requested Turkey to permit the export of these items at the meeting as well.

While Turkey has entered into a Free Trade Agreement with the Maldives, the Middle-Eastern ally is providing military assistance to the island nation as well.

Earlier, Turkey provided military drones to the Maldives towards enhancing the country's security.

The first country President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu visited right after assuming presidency was Turkey as well, where he discussed on strengthening ties between the two nations with the Turkish president.

The Maldives government has also notified it would establish a free trade agreement with China as well.
